A powder proteoglycan that hydrates in water to form a thixotropic gel capable of binding and emulsifying oils at 10%+ — no homogenization, no neutralization, no heat required. Viscosity scales with concentration, while oil type controls slip profile (dry, rich, or cushioning) and oil percentage governs body, giving formulators precise textural control across skincare, cleansing, and body applications. Stable to heat, salt, and processing, Activated Silk® Luna-1 is PEG-free, palm-free, and cold-process compatible — simple to use and built to tune.
